    Today Clatsop County is one of nine Home Rule counties in Oregon. Five non-partisan elected Commissioners set policy and appoint a full-time County Manager, who is responsible for daily operations. County services are provided through these divisions: County Administration (County Manager), Assessment and Taxation, Budget and Finance, County Clerk, Juvenile, Public Health, Public Works, Community Development, the District Attorney, and Sheriff’s Offices. The county also administers a road district, a rural law enforcement district, and a local sewer district. THE POSITION

    Clatsop County is seeking a full-time Deputy County Surveyor. This position is to perform surveying duties such as survey reviews, calculations, drafting, filing surveys, surveying with both global positioning systems and total stations, and providing technical support associated with public works surveying projects. MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

    Must possess and maintain driving privileges in the State of Oregon.

    Must possess Oregon Professional Land Surveyor license. REQUESTED QUALIFICATIONS

    Four (4) or more years’ experience preparing and reviewing survey maps in the State of Oregon as a licensed land surveyor.

    Experience with civil and structural drafting principles and practices which include the use of Civil 3D software.

    Proficiency with personal computers including standard word processing software, CAD software, reduction of GPS data, and GIS software.

    Experience in the establishment of Public Land Corners.
