The PLSO and the Oregon Young Surveyors Network (OrYSN) gathered resources to help future Oregon Professional Surveyors study for the Oregon State Specific PLS exam. Materials listed below were suggested by individuals who have recently passed the exam. The suggested materials include a mix of books and documents. Oregon’s state specific exam is open book. At a minimum, successful test takers should have printouts of the Statutes and Rules listed on the exam syllabus and the OCRS Manual in addition to reference materials such as the BLM Manual and a legal dictionary to have a successful test day.
Registration for the Oregon State Specific PLS Exam is through the Oregon State Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying (OSBEELS). The test is offered twice a year; for more information on registration and exam dates, visit the
