    Position available: Field Surveyor

    This position involves working primarily in the field on projects for public agencies, private clients, and other design professionals. The position involves working in a team environment and may include leading a survey crew.

    MINIMUM JOB SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

    3 years’ experience as a field survey technician working on land surveying projects.

    Experience in the use and care of standard electronic survey equipment, including field data management procedures.

    Thorough knowledge of survey principles.

    Possession of a valid driver’s license.

    Must possess solid communication skills.

    Must be physically fit.

    Pre-employment drug screening required.

    Experience with Leica equipment is a plus

    TYPICAL TASKS

    Perform field assignments related to all types of surveys, including boundary, topographic mapping, pipelines, hydrographic, construction and control surveys.

    Accurately operate and maintain survey instruments including levels, GPS devices and total station.

    Performs mathematical calculations. Read and understand survey map data.

    Take accurate and clear survey field notes and perform simple note reduction and checking.

    Assist with project research and management of collected survey data used for the preparation of survey maps.

    Perform other duties as assigned.
