Hello PLSO Donors,
I am writing to sincerely thank you for choosing me for this year’s scholarship. My time thus far at Oregon Tech has been filled with a ton of new knowledge, but only since I decided to pursue a Surveying Minor along with my Civil Engineering degree have I really begun to look forward to the future and the possibilities for a career. My job this summer confirmed this decision; seeing how many projects intimately involve engineers and surveyors, often with a large gap in understanding between them, further encouraged me to continue pursuing both fields, with the eventual goal of obtaining my PE and PLS licenses. The scholarship money will allow me to invest more time into my studies at school as well as preparation for license tests. My wife and I are both in school and working part-time is necessary to pay the bills, but the scholarship money goes a long way to ease that burden. I hope to make the surveying profession proud with my dedication to excellent studies and quality work in my career. Again, thank you for your generosity.
