Survey Technician

Job Duties:

 Property line surveying; including survey line cut out, traversing, and property line marking

 Lay out and perform surveys on company grounds, both independently and as a team member

 Utilize tape & compass for locating corner monuments & accessories

 Assist crew with boundary surveying via total station and/or GPS

 Road construction staking, road field narrative marking, and road winterization

 Implementation of Sustainable Forestry Policy

Job Requirements:

 Good interpersonal communication skills

 Good analytical and organizational skills

 Ability to use a chainsaw and proficient with an axe and machete for brush clearing

 Ability to travel to different job locations spread out over a large geographic region

 Ability to work independently for long periods of time on steep ground in all types of weather

 A valid driver’s license and a good driving history

Preferred Skills:

 1+ years of survey OR forestry related field experience

 General knowledge of surveying, property ownership, and boundaries

 General knowledge of the Public Land Survey System (i.e. Township, Range, Section)

 Basic computer skills including email and Microsoft Word/Excel

Physical Requirements:

 Walking, hiking, and standing up to 10 hours per day/5 days per week in various wooded terrain

 Working in various weather climates up to 10 hours per day

 Carrying equipment up to 50 lbs.

 Working in an office environment up to 10 hours per day
