Hickman, Williams & Associates, Inc. (HWA) is currently seeking a Professional Land Surveyor to join our team in Bend, Oregon. We are a civil engineering, surveying, and land use planning firm established in Bend for 37 years, specializing in private land development and public improvement projects. Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have the ability and technical skills to work both in the office completing surveying tasks and performing field operations when necessary. We are seeking a Professional Land Surveyor licensed in Oregon or someone actively pursuing their license. 

Typical responsibilities will include preparing partition and subdivision plats, boundary surveys, ALTA Surveys, topographical mapping, preparing legal descriptions, construction calculations and field work. Candidate needs to be knowledgeable in all phases of land surveying and map preparation, including principles of boundary control, land surveying techniques, deed and survey research, and have good written and oral communication skills. The ideal candidate will also be proficient with Autodesk Civil 3D and have a good understanding of GPS and conventional survey data collection and processing.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• 5+ Years of experience in land surveying.
• Professional Land Surveyor license (Oregon PLS preferred).
• Knowledgeable in both field and office survey workflows.
• Proficient with robotic total stations and GPS, preferably Trimble.
• FAA Part 107 License and LiDAR data processing experience a plus.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
• Good organizational skills.

Base pay for this position ranges between $80k to $110k annually, DOE.
